library0.3.1jsnpmunverified

Terminal UI dashboard for monitoring BullMQ queues and jobs in real time. Version 0.3.1 requires Bun >=1.3.0 and a Redis server. Connects to any Redis-backed BullMQ setup (including TLS) and provides live queue overviews, job inspection (by status with details, data, and stacktraces), scheduler monitoring, and job management (add, cancel, delete, retry). Key differentiator: lightweight TUI alternative to BullMQ's built-in Arena or third-party GUIs, designed specifically for terminal-first developers and CI/CD pipelines. Release cadence is monthly.

CLI command
✓ npx bullmq-dash --tui --redis-url redis://localhost:6379
✗ bullmq-dash --tui --redis-url redis://localhost:6379 (without npx/bunx, if not installed globally)
Run via npx or bunx for one-off use, or install globally with npm i -g bullmq-dash
CLI --profile
✓ bullmq-dash --tui --profile prod
✗ bullmq-dash --tui -p prod (shorthand not supported)
Profile names are case-sensitive; use --profile flag
Config file
✓ { "defaultProfile": "local", "profiles": { "local": { "redis": { "url": "redis://..." } } } }
✗ { "defaultProfile": "local", "profiles": { "local": { "redis": { "host": "localhost", "port": 6379 } } } } (discrete host/port retired)
Config file must contain a single redis.url field per profile; discrete fields deprecated

Shows installation via npm global or npx, then basic usage with Redis URL and queue filtering.

// Install globally npm install -g bullmq-dash # Or use npx directly npx bullmq-dash --tui --redis-url redis://localhost:6379 # To monitor specific queues bullmq-dash --tui --redis-url redis://localhost:6379 --queues email,notifications # Custom poll interval (ms) npx bullmq-dash --tui --redis-url redis://localhost:6379 --poll-interval 5000
Debug
Known issues
breakingDiscrete Redis connection flags (--redis-host, --redis-port, --redis-password, --redis-db) were retired in v0.2.0. Use --redis-url only.
fix
Use --redis-url <full-redis-url> instead of individual flags.
affects: >=0.2.0
gotchaEnvironment variable interpolation in config file uses ${VAR} as the whole value only; partial substitution (e.g., redis://${HOST}:6379) is not supported.
fix
Set the entire value to an env var, e.g., "url": "${REDIS_URL}" or "url": "redis://host:6379".
affects: >=0.1.0
deprecatedThe --poll-interval flag is deprecated; use the config file's pollInterval setting instead.
fix
Set pollInterval in config.json under the profile or global config.
affects: >=0.3.0
gotchaBun >=1.3.0 is required. Running with older Bun versions or Node.js will fail.
fix
Install or upgrade to Bun v1.3.0+ (curl -fsSL https://bun.sh/install | bash).
affects: >=0.1.0

Error: CONFIG_ERROR - no profile specified and no defaultProfile set
